Hello again Sunday - weren't you just here?
This weekend has been lovely at Monkey Towers, I've managed to do quite a bit of work sewing and managed to finish a quilt top and back to send off to get quilted. I'm feeling quite productive!
Because I've been ever so productive I deserve to look at fabric, so let's go...
The Village Haberdashery has a brand new monthly stash building club that is perfect to help you build your stash, month by month, by colour, or to help you stock up on the basics you'll always need. A bit like the milkman bringing you the milk and eggs. Find out more about it by visiting the village stash society page. Sign ups for the first month close on the 25th october and will ship at the end of the month, so hurry and get yourself signed up right away!
Bark And Branch is a new collection from Cloud 9 fabrics, and it's on pre-sale right now with an amazing 25% off. It'll ship at the end of the month, but hurry to take advantage of the saving while you still can.
Over at Simply Solids Moda Scrap Bags are back in stock and are such good value at just £12 a bag (which contain around 1/2lb of fabric strips - they're great value, really useful for string quilts and scrappy designs)
Best Press starch alternative ironing spray is in stock too. I love the lavender, but Justine also has the unscented version if you prefer that. I can't recommend this enough - it's like starch but without the residue, and is really useful for keeping small pieces of fabric in check when you're piecing them. Plus it smells lovely, so that's a bonus
Button Up And Stitch are offering free UK postage on all online orders from now until Christmas.
Do It Yourself from Dear Stella is in stock now too - which I love. It's fantastic collection. You can make my pressing board tutorial and we can be all matchy matchy!
Also new in are the really gorgeous flurry dots from Dashwood Studio. I love these, they're a really nice scale and really great quality fabric too. I'm so impressed by this company - it's British, and that has to be championed. They come in a rainbow of colours, but I am a sucker for a white on black dot...
The third Christmas gift idea tutorial has been posted on the Fabric HQ blog. This week it's a fun little flower brooch. Good teacher gift idea, methinks?
Lots of new fabrics have arrived this week as well. These are my favourites....
And little things
Sew And Quilt have these beautiful poplins in stock now. A pink and blue floral that feel like silk, but are actually cotton.
The paper pieces have been stocked up - and new in are these tumblers. Perfect for a winter's evening sewing, don't you think?
New into Backstitch this week are some bundles
Don't forget about the competition too - you get an entry per order!
That's it for this week. Go forth and shop!
Don't forget that next week there's no what's new posts. I'm away in Malvern for the Quilt Festival, so if you're visiting come and say hi. I'll be on the Lady Sew and Sew stand with Sizzix. Ask me nicely and I'll cut you some hexies to give you something to do, I'll even cut you some papers.
