And that's it for today!
Brief husbeast update - he's home and he's doing ok. We haven't been able to leave the house yet because he's so weak and spends much of the day sleeping. I have always had a great respect for people that are full time carers for family members, but I have a new and increased respect for them since he came out of the hospital. You would think that as he is sleeping I'd be able to get stuff done, but when he sleeps I try and get the housework done instead or rest a little with him, because I'm also absolutely exhausted! Hopefully next week we'll be able to go on a little walk if he's up for it, or to come with me to pick up Ginger from school, but we'll see. We are going to his parents' on Sunday for lunch and that will be the first time he's been out of the house, I think the change of scenery will do him some good. I can't thank you all enough for the lovely comments and emails checking on how we are doing. I think it'll be a longer recovery than we both hoped, but he is off work for 4-6 weeks, so in reality we probably should have expected it'd take a while for things to get back to normal! (We're both impatient people, I think!) His headaches are still pretty bad, and his speech is much better but he gets confused quite often and stumbles for words. Having a conversation exhausts him, and he has to go rest up after visitors but last night I went up to bed before he did which was a first and a sign he's starting to feel more normal. He'll get there - we have a great family around us and lots of support.
